Welcome to Powell River Kiwanis Housing Society. We operate two seperate seniors housing communities - Kiwanis Garden Manor Assisted Living and Kiwanis Village Seniors Apartments.

 

Kiwanis Garden Manor Assisted Living 

The Kiwanis Garden Manor Assisted Living is a diverse and vibrant community of individuals living in beautiful Powell River. The three storey apartment building is located in a park-like setting with gardens and walkways for easy accessibility and pleasant afternoon strolls.

As an assisted living community, we embrace the concepts of tenant choice, privacy, independence, individuality, dignity and respect.  We respect tenants’ privacy and personal choices. Our staff provide minimally intrusive assistance and support tenants to live as independently as possible and to manage their own lives, even when assistance is needed with daily activities.

Hospitality and personal care services at Kiwanis Garden Manor include:
 

• Rental accommodation in a private 1 bedroom suite

• Two meals per day plus two snacks

• Weekly light housekeeping and laundering of flat linens

• Personal care services

• Medication management assistance

• 24 hours on-site emergency response system

• Leisure, social and recreation programs

Kiwanis Village Seniors Apartments 

The Kiwanis Village is a low income, senior’s subsidised, independent living community.  It’s a three storey apartment building with elevators and is located on the same property as the Kiwanis Garden Manor and is connected via a covered walkway.

Accommodation is provided on a non-profit basis for senior citizens by the Powell River Kiwanis Village Society. Tenants live independently in their own suites and have the option of enjoying the main floor lounge for social activities. Tenants are also invited to join any of the social activities offered at the neighbouring Assisted Living building such as live music, bingo, cards, puzzles and other special events.
